Giants hire a guy I've never heard of and Panthers give the Baylor coach a 7 year $60 million deal

I'm a big Rhule fan. Hiring him for a pro job is definitely a risk, but IMO a worthy one. I actually wanted him for ND someday, but it looks like he was set on eventually going to the pros.

However, PFN Insider Benjamin Allbright is hearing that some owners are hesitant about bringing in Bieniemy because his head coach interviews last offseason didn’t particularly impress many. If you recall, he had interviewed with the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins, and the Cincinnati Bengals. All of those teams hired someone else.

Going to call BS on this. I don't doubt that teams said that to Allbright. I doubt that he bombed interviews so bad that one of the teams he interviewed hired Adam Effing Gase instead of him. He satisfied the Rooney Rule for all those teams, except the Dolphins. I think most teams already know who they want, especially when it's a situation where the coach has experience and is out of the league the previous year (Arians, McCarthy).
