Sounds like he’s out until Thursday “at the earliest.” Willy caught a bullpen session today and Zobrist is done playing in the minors and is just doing drill work until September 1, so that’s good news on the latter stuff.

The Cubs absolutely lead the league in “X is expected to play ______” and X not returning that day.

Also in unavailable players not being on the injured list and therefore playing a man short.

MLB Network's camera angles are jacked. The pitcher is almost touching the left side of the screen, the batter is in the center, and an acre of grass is on the right

Baez doubled to center, thrown out at 3rd trying to stretch it into a triple. Took a good relay but with 0 outs in the inning and a struggling offense, he was trying to do way too much.

I decided for my sanity to not bother watching. Turned on Gameday for the Russell at bat and immediately saw him not take his damn walk.
