You know, the guy we like to compare to Maddux.

 

Good things have happened of late when he pitches.

Although he's struggled in "away" games.

Maybe he can right the ship tonight

Even just a decent performance should be good enough. Why? Well...

 

The Nats are countering with a guy named "Jeremy".

Hellickson, that is, and he's not very good.

Really, ours boys should have the advantage in tonight's game.

Everything points to a win.

And another series win.

Despite the bottom of the order being pretty putrid.

So it'll be up to the top half of the order and Kyle.

 

And hopefully the bullpen won't suck if they're called on.

Rather just have Kyle be masterful and the offense dongs the hell out of the Nats tossers tonight.

Everyone would be quite pleased with that outcome.

 

Last time I started a game thread, I posted a picture of a turd signifying the Cubs play to start the season.

And it didn't help as the Cubs lost their 2nd of the season en route to losing 7 of their first 9.

Maybe I'll try a different approach.

Nah. I’m glad he’s doing well and getting results, but he’s still basically the same shitty hitter he’s always been and like he was when he had that hot 1-2 months last year. The underlying stuff is still ugly (still not taking walks, still not hitting the ball hard often enough, still hitting too man GBs, still K’ing too much for being a contact guy, etc.).
