There was a graphic up during the broadcast that said Strop is the only pitcher in franchise history with 5+ years with a sub- 3.00 ERA and 50+ IP in each.

Definitely in the discussion for best Cubs reliever ever.

It’s crazy how much the average Cub fan, even ones who follow the team quite a bit, just think Pedro is okay or even not good. He’s been remarkably consistent not only by Cubs but MLB standards since he’s been here. He’s horsefeathering good.

If Arrieta never would have thrown a pitch for us, that trade still would have been a good one for Theo.

Monty seems like a perfectly fine dude and anyone but that POS Chapman would’ve done, but I really wish Strop could’ve been the guy on the mound to get the final out in 2016. If only he didn’t slide for that ball and tear his meniscus in the last month or two, it could’ve been him out there.

So much of it is the hat AKA racism.

Yup that’s definitely a big part also he’s blown like 2-4 Espn Sunday night games (multiple vs the Cardinals) so the casual fan who only watches that just thinks he sucks.

Yeah I remember in 2015 people saying the Cardinals were in his head.
