Heyman or Nightengale (forget which one) continues to bat .000 from that article from August or September talking about all the managers who were gonna get fired. They’ve either all been retained or signed extensions.

Why is Joe Madon's son verified on Twitter?

He's a real person, also a professional photographer.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there are a lot of real people who are professional whatevers who aren't verified.

Where do you get the idea that he's verified?

Welp, I swear when I looked at this link on my phone that he had a checkmark. My bad.

Lil' Maddon's outburst dispelled any notion (for me at least) that the lack of negotiating a new deal was all Big Maddon's decision (I have seen that floated as a potential rationale for him being a lame duck, fwiw). Dude maybe should keep his mouth shut for his old man's sake. Or not. Don't really give AF.

That did it for me.

Edit: posts gone, account locked. That was fast. Joe's days are numbered.

His account is protected, not locked. I can still see the posts.

Many of his posts in the last 12 hours are laughing at the idea that his posts hold any value. I don't think there's much to see here.

Successful coaches should never have to worry about extensions. Maddon will be the most sought after coach if/when he's let go and will make a truck load of money. It's one thing if he wants to get extended because he loves Chicago and wants to stay, it's another if he's worried about job security. He'll get his money from another team if the Cubs don't give it to him. He's not a player who needs to lock down a deal in case he gets injured and his value sinks, he's a horsefeathering coach who won the world series with a franchise people thought would never win a World Series. If Mike Scioscia can fail to go to a world series for 15+ years but keep his job because he won one of them in 2002, Maddon can coast on the strength of a Cubs victory for at least 20. Shut up, kid.
