'Abandon' isn't the right word, but it was more convenient than 'very clearly half-assing it'. Not showing Theo's presser at the end of the year, coming up with the bare minimum of coverage/analysis around the games, etc. To be fair, I haven't even thought about pulling it up since September, but get the strong impression I'm not missing anything.

In a promising development, I noticed yesterday that Marquee aired an hour long "Cy Young Announcement Special" for Yu Darvish featuring a bunch of people including Rick Sutcliffe, Tommy Hottovy and Len/JD talking about the voting results and breaking down Yu's season

I believe they ran a similar special regarding David Ross being an NL Manager of the Year finalist.

I've been trying to track down any information whatsoever that would clue me in to what Marquee's revenue or subscription numbers are, but it seems like they're purposefully keeping things close to the vest. Or maybe I'm just bad at searching? I'm curious if anyone has seen anything along these lines?

Marquee announced today that Chris Myers, Pat Hughes and Beth Mowins will rotate filling in for Jon Sciambi when he is on ESPN duty.

Now the question is, will anyone without cable/dish services be able to watch Marquee this year?

Isn’t that all sorted out in market? They’re with all the providers, even streaming services, aren’t they? Out of market you still need MLB TV to watch them or Extra Innings (or whatever it’s called if your cable/dish provider has it).

No, I believe it was never on YoutubeTV and Hulu dropped it after the season.

I think you can rule out YTTV. Neither side seems to have any interest in a deal there. YTTV has none of their RSNs.

No, there's no streaming providers that carry it other than Directv's streaming service I believe.

i figured hulu dropped it for the offseason but who knows

I just canceled Hulu, in part because of Marquee being removed.

I'm leaning toward ATT TV to get Marquee, or buying the MLB.tv package. Idk if MLB.tv applies blackout rules by your billing info or by your device location at the time of streaming.

Does anyone use MLB.tv with a VPN?

It uses your device location. I've never used it with a VPN, but a friend has and never reported any issues.

For $130 you can get all MLB teams. As opposed to having to buy a whole package with Marquee included. I already use the radio package with MLB.

if you happen to have t-mobile phone service, you should bet getting an mlb.tv sub for free, just FYI. the sub would start on march 30th.

Just want to thank T-Mobile for buying Sprint. This is such an amazing perk.

Could I watch the games on the Marquee app with my parents’ Xfinity login? It doesn’t matter that I’d be logging in from a different location (still within the Cubs viewing area).
