Yeah, if I actually thought the Cubs lacked in talent, the current version of me wouldn't even bother posting disappointment. I'd do other horsefeathers. Game threads, for me, are for taking the piss whenever things go wrong, or pound my chest when dongs are being struck.

This is a stat that doesn’t mean anything but I like to post meaningless stats:

 

Darvish in the 5th inning in 2018: 40.50 ERA (12 ER in 2.2 IP)

Darvish in every other inning in 2018: 1.59 ERA (3 ER in 17 IP)

I actually somehow liked both TT and Sofa's posts so I'm not sure what that says about me. Apparently I appreciate both sides of the argument and relate to both sides.I should be a quit my job and be a mediator.

 

And, for the record, I'm slightly frustrated but not freaking out. Part of that is the 10 percent of the season thing (and they are still .500 so it's not like they're screwed - things can turn around at the drop of a hat). I also think the start of the season and weather and stuff is a big deal - especially this year - and part of it is life is complicated enough that I can't freak out about the cubs that much anymore.
