easy to proclaim after one of the best starts of his career, but I feel like Q is going to have a big October.

We will see where Maddon puts him in the rotation. If he's the 4th starter his potential impact will be limited due to only having 3 starts at most.

Eh. 4th in one series doesn't mean 4th in all of them. 4th in NLDS that goes 5, could mean 2nd or 3rd in NLCS....if that goes 6 or 7, he could be in line for Game 1 of the WS and potentially a 2nd or 3rd start if he's performing well.

Man, I'd want to see him ahead of Lester without even thinking twice about it.

Yeah, there's just no way they'd even be considering Lester at anywhere but #4 right now. Unless Joe gives him the nod in Game 1 out of respect of the seat of NLCS MVP.

And that's the last time we ever have to think about the Brewers again.

They could win the 2nd wildcard and could face them in the NLCS.

How many articles are going to be written in the St. Louis press about the mess the Cubs leave in the visitor's clubhouse?

They should invite Dex in.

The Cardinals playoff chances and the number of posts in each game thread followed the same trajectory:

Saturday: 91

Sunday: 44

Let's see if there is a corollary over at brewerfan.net.

Thanks to Colorado's win, the Cubs are now just 99.9% likely to make the playoffs. Prior to that, it was 100%.

And yet if we lose tomorrow I guarantee that someone here will express concern about blowing it.

It's okay, we can name names. It's Bryant's Disco Ball and Schwarber Fan.

The Cubs lose and they 100% convinced Martinez is going to throw a complete game shutout so it will only be a 4 game lead and then the pressure's on the Cubs to not get swept.

I'm a different kind of ninnie. I don't loathe the Cardinals and so my vision isn't clouded by them. At no point have I expressed any concern about them beating us this year.

Thank you for giving me time to respond.
