Yeesh; I'd take the the completely forgettable Brewers winning the division a thousand times over the vile Cardinals.

 

Seriously. How could anyone give a horsefeathers about the horsefeathering Brewers? They're the Cardinals. Get your priorities together, people.

4 straight home losses after 6 wins in a row. Even though the Cubs have had a solid 2nd half, the inconsistency of the 2017 club has been unbelievable.

 

Time for you to become Cubs Offense Fan (not that you fixed the other guys).

I think the Brewers paid off Joe Maddon before the series

Yeah, you have to hit Schwarber there. You need a HR and he's easily the best bet available. Maddon has been brutal lately.

 

I almost don't want these asshats to make the playoffs for being so frustratingly mediocre.

Split against the Brewers and Rays, go 3-4 against the cardinals and take 2 of 3 against Mets and Reds.

 

That's 10-9. Brewers would have to go 10-5 in their other 15 games to tie the Cubs (11-4 to overtake) and the Cardinals 8-4 in their 12 other games (9-3 to overtake). Oh and the Cardinals and Brewers still play 3 against each other so 1 of those teams has at least 2 losses already.

 

I know it's difficult to imagine the Cubs going even 5-6 against the Brewers/Cardinals not to mention 5-3 against the other teams with how they played this weekend but the numbers are still good. The Cubs will play better.

I see no possible way that at this point anything is a given...nothing should be surprising. This team has been consistently inconsistent all season long and people have been moving the goalposts along with all season long.
