Yeah, I was wondering that myself, as far as how exactly they trace that back.

 

My family is from Cuba...my brother did one of these recently and it came up basically as mostly Iberian, then Italian and a bunch of other random European stuff that I'm not remembering.

Puerto Ricans are a pretty specific mix of Spanish, African and Taino Indians.

Who says he found out from a DNA test. Couldn't he have just discovered that a great grandparent was from Puerto Rico? I mean the percent is a bit odd, but he could just be rounding up from 12.5 (1/8).
