Oddly enough, sandwiched around that game is a bunch of 0K games. Only 5 Ks in his last 28 PA and that includes that game.

If neither Russell or Heyward are available then you only have a 2 man bench(Montero & TLS), and both are lefties with at least 2 more plate appearances left.

That's right..... but yeah Arrieta hitting would've been a better option or even letting one of the other starters go up and bunt since Lester can't do that really.

The threat of a DP was too much; I think having Lester attempt to bunt was the correct call. Of course that didn't work and the DP happened anyway.

I think it was Myers, which is kinda a weird relay throw for the 1B to be taking there. Usually it's the 2B or SS on a ball in that area to a non-home plate throw.
