this guy is the worst pitcher to ever live

My buddy (also a buddy of notable poster KingCubsFan) was sitting next to him at a bar in the Toledo airport last night. Flight was extremely delayed so he definitely got to the hotel late.

Of note: apparently he was an horsefeathers.

the extent of the cubs' domination of the reds lately is something that shouldn't happen in baseball

I just feel like Zobrist is heating up, and that's going to be really good for the lineup.

everybody appears to be heating up except like Addy and Willy

you mean the mediocre to terrible pitcher who marks his initial on the mound is an horsefeathers? no way

He is. He started off slow and his plate discipline numbers were a little out of whack. But he's been himself for awhile now and has just been getting BABIP'd. He had stretches like that last year, too. He seems to either be blazing hot or just... a little off. I think he's going to get real hot now.

I was just about to make a post criticizing Baez for not walking enough.

you can still feel free to do that (though he didn't swing at any bad pitches in that AB)

5 walks this year

4 of them intentional

He's basically how I play The Show come to life.

Just for the love of trivia, Jesse Rogers asked on twitter who the last Cubs player was to hit a 1st inning Grand Slam before today. Can anyone get it?

I haven't played The Show in a few years but whenever those challenges came up in RTTS where you had to walk "x times in x weeks" I just completely ignored them and hoped I would get intentionally walked enough to complete it.

i'm actually OK at taking bad pitches on the show..just not enough to get 4 in an AB lol

i tend to wonder if those computer pitchers throw more strikes than IRL for purposes of making game play more fun/fast paced

Also, congrats to the buddy for even recognizing or knowing who this dude is when not wearing a uniform with "Garrett" on the back. Even then, 90 percent of people wouldn't know him or his first name.

Didn't Contreras do it against the Reds like 2 weeks ago?

I don't want to jinx anything but I'm pleased to see the Cubs are in a great position to get their first sweep of the year

Now rip off another 9 in a row

Those pitching matchups are not ideal for this weekend (can't believe I am saying this with Jake Arrieta being one of the 3 going)
