I don't really like gold on T-Shirts.

That said, I would be cool with it if this were the Cubs 50th World Series championship. Given it is only their third, I think it would be more appropriate to employ leather.

It's still a t-shirt, and it would only be an issue if you're standing in direct sunlight.

Right. It really doesn't get above 96 or so that often, just muggy. Imagine putting a wet blanket in the dryer for 5 minutes then wrapping yourself in it. That is NOLA in August.

while i generally wouldn't disagree with that, black and some gold is a good combo. not as good as black and silver.

 

for me the issue here is more about owning a black and gold cubs shirt. right now, people might get it. in 3 years, if i wear it, people might be like "wtf? a black and gold cubs shirt?"

 

who am i kidding? in 3 years the shirt'll be entirely gold.
