Kyle Fuller was put back on IR today, and based on the comments Fox and Fangio made about him not showing that he is anxious enough to come off IR, I wouldn't be surprised if he's done with the Bears.

Anyways the Bears are a dog for their home finale. I've actually for some reason enjoyed watching this team now that expectations have bottomed out and its a bunch of young unheralded guys playing for nothing. The games have been entertaining even if the Bears come up short virtually every time.

Virtually every time?

Good point, of their 3 wins, 2 were multiple score wins, and the third was a game the Bears led the whole way. So every time.

So it hadn't occurred to me to check in a while but I was doing some research on something else and I noticed this.

FWIW, in terms of DVOA, the Bears are ranked 18th in defense (14th weighted), 15th in offense (11th in weighted offense), 14th in special teams (18th weighted), and 21st overall.

Wow. I would have flipped the D and O ratings for sure.

Also, not surprisingly, no pro bowlers for the Bears. I would think Howard has the best chance to be an alternate replacement once banged up vets withdraw.

surprised Whitehair isn't a pb'er.

Not that it matters, but weird horsefeathers is still happening to the bears.

What the horsefeathers.

hey it's cool when everything fun and good offering any glimmer of hope about this franchise is getting hurt at the very end of the season

I admittedly have watched almost no Bears football this year, but didn't they sign a bunch of defensive players this off season? Why are they so meh on defense?

I believe in Barkley. Get him some good Tackles, Pace. He's young with plenty of upside.

Just no. Maybe as a backup. MAYBE.

I rather try to re sign Hoyer, draft a QB in 2nd/3rd, and let those 2 compete for the starting spot. I could be convinced for a 1st round pick on QB if Bears pick like 3rd and Browns/49ers go Garrett/Allen and they have their pick of QB, but even in that case, I would rather trade down as someone will overpay to get a QB.

EDIT: This is under the assumption that Cutler is indeed 100% gone.

Never said I wanted him to start but I'd rather have him than Hoyer.

Well, the Bears moved up to the #3 overall pick. Don't blow it next week.

It should be interesting because the Vikings were eliminated today and will probably not give 2 shits about winning the game after their collapse from 5-0.
