Look at the guy on the far right of the picture. You can only see half of him, but he is clearly wearing OKC orange and is praising the crap out of the sun while almost everyone else is in disbelief.

As a Laker fan the last ~3 weeks have been the worst, they keep horsefeathering winning. Including a head to head matchup vs the Suns. It's more than just tanking for this year too, if they don't land a top 3 pick this year their first round pick in 2019 goes to the Magic as well.

It's only a 1 pick difference. It's either a 2017 1st and a 2019 1st or a 2018 1st and two second round picks. So they lose a 1st regardless. That's not to say it's nothing but I hate how people in the media are acting like its two 1sts being lost or 0.

That being said, yes, the last couple weeks have been annoying. It would have required losing out but they could have caught the Nets also. Drops their chances of keeping their pick from 56% to 47%.

While that's true, you still want to keep as many first round picks as possible. Plus they were in a spot now to guarantee themselves top 2 odds and fucked it up royally and who knows if next year they will even be bad enough to be in a spot to be getting top 3 odds or if the draft will even be close to as talented as this years. Obviously the #1 pick this year would be preferred but any of the top 3 picks this year should net them a really solid player.

For sure. If you offered me the #3 pick right now or roll the dice with the lottery, I'd take the pick without thinking twice. They just need talent, even if they don't get Fultz or Ball.

Yup, I'd prefer Ball over anyone for them. He can be the best player in this draft and him and Russell could co-exist in the back court and he wouldn't hurt Ingram or Randle developing. Russell and Ball's ability to not only nothings with the ball but also do things off the ball and Russell's great numbers as a catch and shoot guy would open things up for the offense, IMO. The defense would leave something to be desired but hopefully that's something they all grow in to.

If they do end up with the 3 pick (assuming Fultz and Ball are 1-2) I like all of Josh Jackson, Monk and even Markkanen as good fits for the team along with them as prospects alone. I think Jackson and Ingram could co-exist on the floor at the same time as SG/SF/PF (depending on lineups) and wouldn't affect either's development. Monk would help space things as a SG and keep Clarkson as a 6th man, which is his ultimate role on a good team and I just really like Markkanen's game and his floor spacing ability, you couldn't play more than 2 of Randle/Nance/Ingram/Markkanen at a time most likely but would give you a solid, young, starting lineup of Russell/Clarkson/Ingram/Markkanen/Zubac with Randle and Nance off the bench.

joel embiid right after the sixers blew a lead and fell to the knicks, and the magic came from behind to win, thereby dropping the sixers behind the magic for the fourth-worst record in the NBA:
