Toews with a hat trick and two assists. I think he's back.

hawks are still awesome

Overall level of play seems to have improved over the last few weeks. Like earlier in the season they were winning and I wasn't super impressed watching them, but theyve shown a level of play that makes me more confident heading into the playoffs.

Stan Bowman's dead set on reacquiring every guy we've traded or let go for salary cap reasons.

Just got Oduya back

Got him for free, basically. McNeil was never going to play ant meaningful role for the Hawks. The 4th round round pick turns into a 3rd round if the Hawks win the cup. Totally worth it. What does Oduya have left? Not really sure but he adds depth where there wasn't very much.

As a penguins fan, I agree. Pens-Hawks would make for an incredibly exciting Stanley Cup Finals.

Considering the Hawks and Penguins have made the finals 6 times in the last 9 seasons its crazy that they've never met. Two different times they each made the conference final, but both times the only 1 of the teams advanced (Penguins in 09, Hawks in 13)

i shouldn't be surprised that the hawks are hitting on a bunch of young and youngish guys again, which is again extending the window. what a crazy run this organization is on.

When they are focused, it's just so hard to beat them 4 times in 7 games.

I follow the Bulls way more because I like the NBA a lot but I need to get back into hockey. I haven't watched a game all year but it seems more fruitful and like a better use of my time.

Anisimov was carried off the ice with what looked like a pretty bad ankle injury. Hope it's not as severe as it looks...

Day to Day, much better than I thought when seeing it.

Hawks now up a point on the WIld( Wild have a game in hand).

So perhaps a Blues,Wild, Sharks route to the SCF?

Unlikely, but the Hawks still have a small chance at President's Trophy

Washington - 97 points with 13 games remaining

Pittsburgh - 95 points with 14 games remaining

Columbus - 94 points with 14 games remaining

Chicago - 93 points with 13 games remaining

Minnesota - 92 points with 14 games remaining

San Jose - 91 points with 13 games remaining

NY Rangers - 90 points with 12 games remaining

3 weeks would have him coming back for the last 2 games of the regular season, 4 weeks, sometime after Game 1 or Game 2 of the 1st round

'Hawks have been chasing the Wild almost all season, games in hand. Welp, we just flipped that bitch

I wouldn't want to face that Wild team in the playoffs, though. That team is a PITA

With the Kings' loss, the Hawks have clinched a playoff spot. They are also suddenly just a point off the league lead.

As it sits now Blues vs Wild 1st round. Blues are starting to play better and would not surprise me if they were to knock them off.

ok so you guys know i'm about a half notch below mojo in my hockey indifference. so last time i remember checking, the hawks were hanging with the wild points/record wise but i remember them being wayyyyy behind in goal differential (like i remember it being maybe mid single digits positive). the hawks now have a +40 differential (still behind the wild's +54) and are ahead by 7 points.

what the hell happened? have the hawks been blowing everybody out for the last several weeks or something?

was it just toews not sucking anymore (this was one of the narratives i had heard by sports media osmosis)?
