Yeah, maybe I'm just Kyling.

But I'm wondering if maybe the reflexive Cutler defense is a lot like the reflexive "we don't need a rebuild" sentiment that was supposed to seperate us from the meatballs in 2010 and 2011.

QB fumbles and holding on to the ball too long had a non-zero amount to do with losing the first two games and not having them were part of why we looked better today.

Nah, I'm probably just Kyling

The best play of the game for hoyer was when he had forever to hold onto the ball.

An idiot in a gorilla suit ran around Soldier Field during today’s Lions-Bears game. After a few seconds of freedom, the person slipped and was apprehended by stadium security.

The field invader was wearing a T-shirt which read “All Lives Matter” on the front and “Put The Guns Down” on the back.

Racist [expletive] or Harambe meme reaching terminal velocity? You be the judge.

The playcalling was so much better. They ran high-percentage plays on third down and held onto the ball.

Plus they upgraded their QB, too, which makes a huge difference.

I don't know, Hoyer looked like an NFL starter with a full array of weapons, and had done his homework on the opposing team.

yeah, he looked fine

and they barely accomplished anything against a bad team

The offense looked really good, i thought.

I'm still holding out for a 20 point effort before I go up to "really good".

Eh, the Bears dominated the game and won.

Was it just me or did anyone else want to see the cat take a chunk out of that finger?

If you haven't already, you may see this as the meatball rallying cry for our new QB controversey.

300-yard, 2-TD, 0-INT games with Bears:

Jay Cutler: 2 in 99 starts

Brian Hoyer: 2 in 2 starts

Don't get sucked in. For convenience you can reply with this stat;

Avg points/game as Bears starter

Cutler - 22.8

Hoyer - 17

(Cutler's number is almost exactly league average. That's important in showing how little our Hoyer led offense actually has done).

Both those stats are dumb.

Well you dont throw smart stats at meatballs.

For further clarity you can throw Hoyers avg ppg as a starter 20.56, which is a decent proxy to tell us that Cutler leads about average offenses and Hoyer leads below average offenses, which aligns with the assesment of their career individual offensive stats.
