Hey folks. So here's the deal, I haven't been out to Chicago since 2007 to stay with the late and great Fred and watch our beloved Cobs get swept out of the postseason for my first (and only) game at the friendly confines. Apparently I'm lazier and broker than I thought.

 

That said, if this crazy team manages to do The Thing™ and go to That Other Thing™ this year, I'd want to be there for it live and in person. Obviously short of miraculously winning the ticket lotto, I have no expectations of making it to the actual games, but to be in Wrigleyville for that atmosphere would probably be just as special to me.

 

SO, anyone around here who lives in the city potentially open to having a lanky weirdo crash on their couch around say, Friday October 28th through Monday October 31st? I'll bring booze and my sterling wit and charm.

 

Added bonus - if this jinxes and ruins everything, at least you can blame me in earnest.
