Yeah, this is a near best case scenario. Whoever is obsessively voting for the Cubs needs to make sure they are voting Addy early and often, we need to increase that lead at SS.

Wrong, this is precisely what ASG voting should be. A way for fans to have fun, and have a say in what should be an exhibition game. The fact that the game isn't an exhibition game is the joke.

I say this every time this comes up, but the main reason I don't have a big problem with the ASG determining HFA in the World Series is the fact that it used to be completely arbitrary (and dumb) switching off of years. This is, however so slightly, better than that.

Flip a coin. Just as effective. The game is still played as if it were an exhibition game. They don't play hard, why pretend it's important? Make it fun and take out the artificial "meaning".

Honestly, I just dislike the ASG altogether, so I'm just against it having anything to do with the regular season. It's not a rational thing.

Awesome though we may be, I'm not sure we're any more likely to win any given playoff series in 4 or 5 than we are in 6 or 7.
