All-Star rosters announced at 6 CT (I believe) tonight.

Predictions on Cubs All-Stars?

I'll resist the urge to predict that one or more of the starters gets jumped, although there has been interesting changes in starters between the last results and the announcement in the past years I believe.

In order of confidence

1. Rizzo

2. Bryant

3. Fowler

4. Arrieta

5. Zobrist

6. Russell

7. Lester

1-4 are pretty much locks, 5 is pretty close to a lock (Zobrist will almost certainly make it even if Murphy leaps him as a starter). Russell and Lester are close. Russell obviously has no shot if he is jumped, but since he was leading the final balloting you have to feel slightly better about him making it because of that then Lester.

Rondon probably deserves to at least be on that list, although his biggest competition is probably token selections to satisfy the one per team requirement, so tough to know what his odds are.

I agree he deserves to. I thought he might be a good final vote candidate as well but I think there are a lot of potential position player snubs in the NL so not sure if he makes it.

Looking at the NL rosters from the last 5 years, the fewest number of relievers on a team was 4(last year) and in most years 5-6. With that backdrop I think Hector has a pretty good shot.

I'll say Bryant, Rizzo, Zobrist, Fowler, Arrieta and Lester make it

You think Story overtakes Russell? Or Seager makes a big run?

Yeah I think 1 of those guys overtake him. Could see Seager being the guy after an MLB influenced push. Like other guys who've had weird late surges

Don't know how good a source he is, but Barstool seems to be connected a little bit in MLB. One of their guys broke some White Sox transaction(s). Plus I'm pretty sure big cat is "friends" with a few of the Cubs players. A lot of the Cubs, especially Arrieta, wear the shirts he makes and he's had videos of him partying with Rizzo, Theo and others.

Also funny that he's asking ESPN to report his scoop when ESPN has the selection show on their network. Like they are going to leak news from a random blogger to scoop their own selection show minutes before it airs

I'm pretty sure he's joking because ESPN has a reputation for stealing stuff and not giving credit. He's making fun.

Good point

Think Addison made it. He's in the opening highlight video on ESPN

Also, don't forget Barstool Big Cat has been seen hanging out with a lot of the Cubs players...that's probably his source.

Hahahahah so happy about no Yadi.

He'll have the last laugh when he is a unanimous first ballot Hall of Famer

Fernando Rodney made it??!?!

Rodney has been great this year. I mentally discounted him because I somehow thought he was in the AL until his trade last week, but no he was with the Padres.

You're right, I just looked him up, wow. Same fWAR as Rondon and similar peripherals outside of Rodney walking a lot more guys.
