So... Lackey blamed our defense again after the loss. He thought the ball hit to Baez should have been a double play, before Lucroy took him deep. This is the third time (that I know of) in his last six starts that he has blamed our defense, which, mind you, is the best defense in baseball.

Screw him for that part, if true.

"This is the big leagues." You wouldn't know it by how you pitch, you redneck idiot.

boy, i wish there would have been some indication that he was a selfish horsefeathers. how does he hide it so well?

lackey is fortunate this team has been so good. calling out your teammates in the media is an horsefeathers move and he'd be getting raked over the coals for refusing to take responsibility under different circumstances. it's not like somebody let the ball bounce off his head for a home run or something.

also i wouldn't even call it a bad play. baez charged hard, hoped to make a tag, then flipped to second when he saw he couldn't. any hope for a double play was lost when the runner got past him and he had to make the throw.

hopefully maddon tells john to stfu before his next start.

Yeah. That's totally unacceptable by him. Not cool.

Yeah, but I didn't care when he didn't suck. My logic is sound.

I have several problems with him calling his teammates out. A lot of them are meatbally, and I am most certianly overreacting to him being bad lately, but whatever.

1. You're the new guy. This isn't your team. I don't want you, of all people, teaching these fun-loving young kids how to play the game the right way. STFU.

2. You've now called out Addison Russell, Javier Baez, and Albert Almora about their defense. Who knows how many runs these guys have saved for him. So, again, STFU.

3. You've given up 16 walks and 8 home runs over 36.2 IP in these last six starts. Our defense has been the last issue with your starts. STFU.

4. I've always hated you, and I've barely been tolerating you even when you were pitching well. And you are stupid. And when you talk, I want to punch you in the face. STFU

Javy has turned that into a DP and generally bailed out pitchers all season.

Seriously, horsefeathers this redneck country bumpkin and his 93 MPH fastballs

He's still pissed at Javy for taking him deep in Game 4. And there's literally no chance Javy even knows who he is.

What a stupid dildo. The guy barks and whines like he's some kind of storied, legendary veteran pitcher instead of a hunk of fat that had a really 3-4 season stretch A DECADE ago and then miraculously was fantastic again last season. REAL happy this is just a 2-year-deal.

Well at least he's kinda permanently resolved the like him/hate him controversy.

I could like him again if he somehow turned into a lockdown ace in the playoffs and the Cubs won the world series. Other than that probably not.

I've hated him from the jump, but now he sucks (worst stretch of his career, IIRC), so he's a liability on top of everything else. Plus he has them play country music during his starts.

remember when he divorced his wife because he found out she had cancer?

I heard he also gave her the cancer

ugh. OF COURSE he has a nickname for his penis
