the Rockies announcers were awesome

"well, i'm not sure which split squad lineup is better, what do you think?"

other guy: "i'd really rather not play either of them, honestly"

then i had the thought about whether we could put together a lineup from our non-starters that would compete with the Braves/Phillies/Padres

Out of curiosity, can someone tell me why the last few tweets David posted just say "Loading tweet..."? I see this all over the board and it gets old after awhile. Some tweets I can read and others I just get the loading message?

Short answer, twitter is probably blocked for you.

There's two ways on the message board to post tweets. One is just to post the link by itself...which is what David always does. If twitter is blocked for you, you'll see "loading tweet" when someone posts a tweet that way.

The other way someone can post a tweet is to use the tweet brackets. When they do this, you'll see the tweet in a text format (you won't see any pics though).

When I'm at work during the day, and I see someone post it the first way, I'll try to edit the post to put in the brackets, for my own personal benefit, as seeing the text is better than seeing "loading tweet", obviously. But when I'm at home, or on my phone, I don't think about it, cuz the tweets load just fine.

Yeah, if just the link is posted I can see the tweet at work, but I can't play the video embedded, or the photo in it won't load most of the time. If the brackets are there, no problem. Quit being a lazy jerk, David.

Using the tweet brackets also ensures that if you quote that post the embedded tweet shows up in the quote. Use the tweet brackets.

That's actually exactly why I prefer not to do it.

And if it were up to me I'd limit the embedded quotes to a max of 2, too.

This is mind boggling. If you can't see the tweet you can't see what the response refers to.

A valid point. It would be good if it turned into text. I just don't like the clutter of seeing the same tweet repeated over and over, especially if it's a big video clip or image.

You are very concerned with the clutter. You should be a personal organizer. My personal organizer.
