This might trigger some people. but Russell has posted a line of .333/.392/.571/.964 in 12 games since being demoted after a line of .286/.407/.429/.835 the final 19 games in the majors. Only time he didn't hit in the majors this yeas was when dealing with the hand injury. #BEST25

1. Only the worst people accuse other people of being triggered.

2. I hope he continues to rake for Iowa. That should make him easier to trade.

That’s not very impressive for a 25 year old in the PCL.

At the risk of engaging, even if you ignore all the off-field stuff and the not knowing the signs despite being in the organization for five years stuff, Kemp is a better fit for this roster right now than Russell is.

I’m somewhat curious to see if they bring him back after rosters expand, but unless there’s an injury or Zobrist doesn’t come back for some reason, I don’t really see the point.

Yeah, the only way he comes up now is if Baez, god forbid, gets hurt. As long as Happ is *checks notes* slashing .300 .391 .650 1.041 playing actual baseball, Russell can go horsefeathers himself.

He's also at 55 games on the MLB roster, with off days and games he didn't play in he's probably hit the 60 days on the active roster contract incentive, but not calling him up in September probably saves $100,000 for the 90 days on active roster incentive.

He's younger than league average hitter by 16 months, His .891 OPS in Iowa is better than league average by .056 points and .108 better than the Iowa average since they don't play as many games in the extreme hitters parks of the league.

1. You guys are clearly triggered by Russell. One post about how well he's playing blows this thread up with you guys coming to be negative.

2. You are wrong about this as well. Playing good in Iowa will keep him on the Cubs at a lower contact, being in the majors would get him out of the organization since his arbitration number would be higher.

The whole "he's only a boy playing a man's game" shtick doesn't really fly anymore when he's got just shy of 600 games at the major league level.

Look at you acting like it was some innocuous post that just happened to bring up how Russell has been doing. That's adorable.

Its not like he didn't have a .798 OPS in his 38 starts or a .835 OPS the last month in the majors or anything.

I can't control you guys get so worked up over him.

He should have never been send down, and he's still hitting going back to Iowa. If a post showing how well he's playing bothers you guys so much just ignore the post and don't get so triggered over it. Letting minor thing get you so emotional like that is on you people.

Damn, this is some weak-ass gaslighting. Tighten it up, boy.

you guys had to bring this back, didn't you?

He says, seemingly knowing Edith is a sock puppet account managed by multiple people...

Wow we also get conspiracy theories too? Has to be the Russians right?
