Oh, so now you spitefully want Tony Kemp to never be able to know the joys of bringing life into the world? YOU SAVAGE ANIMAL MONSTER.

So Liberal of you to make more things up. This is how I expect you to act when Russell gets called back up..

Addison Russell has a .277 .362 .482 .844 line in games that the Cubs have lost this season. He has a horrific .206 .288 .302 .589 line in games that the Cubs have won. Clearly his teammates hate him as much as the Cardinals love Molina since they intentionally tank whenever he does well.

With Molina catching, Cardinals pitchers's NL rankings are 10th in FIP and 9th in WAR with below average framing to boot. He's literally been a negative to their staff.

The defensive plus rating which you referenced is 29th in baseball behind defensive wunderkind Victor Caratini

How much do you want to bet the Cardinals pitchers don't feel that way? Every single one wants to have Molina back there of the other two guys they have.

I love how you will ride or die on whatever segment of games you highlight on Baseball Reference until it stops supporting your narrative, and then you go full meatball (Molina makes the team better, eye test...players try harder on new teams).

You idiots honesty think the Cardinals are worse with Molina on the roster? This thread is going to look really dumb if he's healthy and they take off getting a leader back.

If you weren't a classi liberal who gets emotional and never looks at any facts, you may noticed the Cardinals have a losing record when Molina starts. They also have a winning record when the other two catchers start, even the rookie with a .570 OPS. But those stats are meaningless since the Cubs are 15-9 when Chatwood starts and nobody is wanting Tyler out there starting games.

Besides, what kind of bleeding heart would advocate giving a guy a job solely because he has some kids who need to be fed? Can't they take their suitcase full of nickels, cook some ramen, and be grateful for it?!

This thread is going to look really dumb

Going to?

Yeah its already quite dumb with people comically thinking Molina doesn't make the Cardinals a better team.

Addison Russell only has a .273 .308 .273 .580 line against the Cardinals this year, so I guess it's a good thing the Cubs won't be playing him against the much better Molina-led Cardinals. They're going to need their best when facing a *checks notes* 37-year old catcher with a -0.2 fWAR this season.

They might be better off bringing in Alfred Molina instead.

When Addison Russell has two years of being garbage, it's "well look at his last 30 games."

When Molina has 71 games this year of being sub-replacement, it's "well look at his career."

Molina is projected for 0.4 WAR in 128 PAs the rest of the year. Matt Wieters is projected for 0.1 WAR in 88 PAs. None of this matters, we just like proving you wrong because most of don't like you.

He literally will NEVER acknowledge being even slightly wrong so I don't know why y'all keep arguing with him. And quoting him.

Please put Modzilla back on life support and end this nonsense.

This post is so good, I don't even mind the self like.

Yep, in this case it deserves it.

They're better with him on the roster. They're not better with him on the roster and starting 90% of games (which is what will happen.)

Wrong about what?

Because of the sample size of when he played hurt?

Posted

So lets recap, 38 games as starter this year...

.798 for Russell = SSS/Meaningles/Shouldn't be on the team let alone start

.728 for Wieters = He's better than Molina and should start

Because his batted ball profile has gotten worse each of the last 4 seasons. And oh yeah, he's a 37 year old oft injured catcher.

Aren't you a big "facts over feelings" guy?

Please God I hope this is a bit.
