As the US continues to look for someone, anyone, to man left back and allow Fab to play in the midfield where he belongs, Brek Shea continues to flash greatness and stupidity in one package.

He scored that goal and also made a tackle that should've been a straight red. Either way, a healthy and confident Brek is better than Castillo or any of the young guys they try to fit there. On peak form he's way better than Garza, but Garza's floor is a lot higher.

Orlando looks really good, just in time for me to move to Florida. I might have to check out a game. Kaka's going to make that Brazil squad for the Copa and totally deserve it. He's playing really, really well. Too bad their purple or I'd get on board. I can't support a purple team.

I still wonder how Brek would defend against the tough wingers with great technical ability (better than E Castillo at least). I'd like to see him and Villafana as the LBs for the Copa and see how they look. If those two can lock down the position, then we can forget Fullback Fab and put a nice midfield together for the rest of the cycle.

Brek's two main issues are the fact that he's injury prone, and he's dumb.

If he could ever put together a sustained run he'd be such a weapon for the NT.

Brek is from College Station. He never stood much of a chance.

In the "didn't see this one coming" department, Wolfsburg is up 2-0 on Real at halftime.

Marcelo is high up the list also. Kicks out at a Wolfsburg player, picks up the ball and head butts the player as he's lifting his head up and then flops down as if the Wolfsburg player actually did something.

And yet somehow both get yellows.

Pusilic on again in the 77th minute tied 1-1 with Liverpool.

It's amazing that with how well Dortmund is doing, he could play in three European competitions by the age of 20.

West Ham have been absolutely bent over by officiating in their last 4 games. Wrongly disallowed goals, incorrect red cards, bizarre calls and non calls alike. It's a shame .

I was amazed the linesman didn't put his flag up on West Ham's second goal considering he blew the one early in the game. The second one was a tougher play to tell and he got that one right.

I wake up and check my phone to see that Leicester is tied 0-0. In the three minutes it took me to get up, get dressed and turn on the TV, they were up 1-0. Probably no point in watching the rest of this one.

And now Rodwell misses an absolute sitter. Even the Cardinals would be amazed by how lucky Leicester is.

Rodwell's miss was bad but LCFC should have put that game to bed multiple times over.

West Ham next week is going to be a tough game for Leicester. If Spurs can hold serve today they might be able to make up ground next week.

If Spurs lose today though it's over.

Miazga had a rough go of it yesterday. Picked up a yellow, had a poor clearance leading to the Swansea goal and got pulled at half.

It looks like Pulisic started at forward, played 70+ and picked up an assist today.

For those watching Leicester/Sunderland, how'd Yedlin do?

Lucky to not have conceded a penalty when he kicked Okazaki in the chest in the first half, but he made a bunch of really important covering runs to break up chances. I thought he played well overall.

That was the most enjoyable 5-10 minute stretch since Spurs came back from 1-0 down to beat City 3-1 with 3 goals in 10 minutes in Bale's last season. Would have been better if Leicester didn't win also but I wanted at least 4 points from these two games and got it.

Plus this drastically increased Spurs's odds of UCL next year.
