Has anyone on the Rams explained yet how Gurley had 15 touches/targets in 59 offensive plays for the Rams (8 touches in their last 12 offensive possessions after 7 in their first 2)?

I don't care that they were down big in the 2nd half, it seems insane to take the ball out of your best offensive players hand. Especially because Foles sucked.

I thought the Rams play calling was a bit amateurish yesterday. While I get the lack of running touches because they were behind early, the inability to use him out of the backfield with screens and dumps is probably the biggest blunder in their playcalling yesterday, especially since that's the type of play that got them their first score.

Btw, what team was it that scored the touchdown against the Bears that was obviously not a touchdown, and wasn't reviewed even though auto-review of scoring plays was already in place? Something blue?

are you talking about the golden tate play?

I don't remember, although I suspect it was Detroit

It was detroit

If that's the case, it was called a TD on the field, reviewed and then overturned.

In the Detroit game, Tate had momentary possession, then the ball was knocked out of his hands and caught by Bears LB Jon Anderson. It was reviewed and overturned, to the stunned disbelief of Mike Periera, the Fox expert/former head of NFL Officiating.

Yeah that was just one of the surreal moments that day.

I should have added that it was rules an interception on the field, and part of Periera's comments was about how in a case like this the ruling should never be overturned. Makes it all the better...

did anyone mention that the vikings receiver, on that last big pass play against us, was running for about 20 yards out of bounds before coming back in and making the catch? don't know if that can be reviewed or not.

I don't remember that, but it could have happened. All the review systems/processes need to be upgraded. I can review a play just in between replays and see enough to rule one way or the other. Making some things reviewable and others not is dumb, too. It all takes way too long when someone just watching the game can see it. Another thing they could do is just mandate the the TV networks have a camera set up to look down each sideline and along/above the goal lines. Get the right angle on the plays and the number of blown calls will go down inherently. Obviously you're never going to have every angle, but that would do a lot of good. Which game was it that the two point conversion by Mariani got called short? That was a BS call because the angle was from out of the end zone.
