If nothing else, this will definitively answer the question of whether Rundblad will ever be a capable NHL player. Three different teams have thought very highly of him. Two have given up on him ever reaching his potential. If he doesn't grab this opportunity by the balls the Hawks might as well send him through the waiver wire.

I find hockey in general largely unwatchable until the December/January timeframe. Early season hockey doesn't do it for me, unless I have tickets to a game.

agree. I know October points are worth the same as March points. But hockey is much better when the teams are playing with more urgency. You rarely ever see that kind of urgency before the New Year.

Can we do a Kane-Toews-Hossa line for the 1st OT and then Anisimov, Keith and Panarin for the 2nd line? Toews and Hossa are both very good 2 way players, and I think with the frantic back and forth style of 3-on-3 a traditional blue liner is not necessarily required. Of course the current lines seem to be working just fine so maybe no need to fix.

Its gonna be tough to stay close in the playoff chase (if you can call it that in October) if everyone in the Central keeps killing it and the Hawks continue to tread water due to injuries and lack of depth

I'm very blase on the hawks right now, so I'm not going to get all that upset about a stupid loss. Plus you get three rings in a few years and you lose any right to bitch about stupid regular season losses. But that was stupid.

Agreed. It's the most annoyed I can possibly get about a loss in November coming off 3 championships in 6 years with 2 of their top 4 players not playing.

Yeah shitty game after being up 5-2 after a period. Especially since the Blues were diverted to Milwaukee overnight and had to bus it down to Chicago. Oh well, just make the playoffs as a WC or whatever, just get in. Other than that I was pissed for about 5 seconds after the loss.

In other news, they sent Hartman back down so Hossa is probably back for the Devil's game.
