Shea McClellin: McClellin was enjoying a fine afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium until he suffered a knee injury. The Bears had to cart McClellin back to the locker room, which is likely to derail his promising season.

Promising season??????

Yes. He was not a disaster. In fact, he was pretty average (though PFF loves him for whatever reason). It's certainly promising in his first year at the position, considering he was a disaster in the first 3 years in his career.

Considering that by all appearances he was headed for early retirement, appearing to be competent is definitely promising, even if uninspiring.

Maybe I need to stop drinking during games because I haven't seen him do much of anything.

He hasn't done much. But not standing out as a disaster is his new status quo.

Yeah, he's not making impact plays at all, he's just not doing anything horribly wrong.

Yea, basically being replacement level and (presumably) making the right calls for the D.

High number of tackles (has led the team every game til yesterday, I believe), but a lot of them are down the field in pursuit.
