I challenge anyone to name a batter with a prettier HR swing than Bryant.

schwarber and rizzos

lefties are always way prettier

I mean, at some point Arrieta has to have another bad outing, right? Or at least a shaky one. Is he a cyborg? Did he make a deal with the devil?

prior was like this too

straight up pitching cyborg in 2003

Not sure I like that potential foreshadowing...

welp. Jake's locked in. better luck tomorrow, MIL

My uncle who lives in Milwaukee and is a Milwaukee fan is 7 rows behind the cubs dugout right behind first base. He's following this team closely (basically ever other member of the family is a Cubs fan) ever since the Brewers were out of it (basically the whole year) and he's now wearing a cubs shirt with a Milwaukee Braves hat. This team is just that damn awesome and pretty much everyone that doesn't have a passionate hate for the Cubs can see it. The fair weather Braves fans at work can even see it with this team.

While doing 120+ pitches per start...Thankfully Arrieta doesn't have Dusty as his manager.

The one where Maddon takes Arrieta out of the game after 6 at 100 pitches with the Cubs up 12-3 in game 2, and then the left field fans are so into the game in game 6, they let Schwarber catch a ball near the wall so the Cubs win 3-0 and make the World Series?

kind of strange that MIL is warming up the bullpen when Cravy has really been excellent other than a walk to Schwarber and a dong to Bryant and currently sits at 50 pitches. But maybe they just want to see what some of the Sept call-ups have. Or maybe they anticipate a Cravy-bad meltdown as I do.

I do wonder if people just assume JA is going to keep on awesoming and so they're doing other things than posting here.

Well the Cubs are winning and Jake is rolling so very little ARCubsFan or Rondon Fan posts which are like 60% of game threads

Yeah, I didn't want to say anything, but that's really what it feels like.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, why did I just go look at Prior's stats again.

And, you know, Russell TURNS THE DAMNED DOUBLE PLAY

Castro is 19 hits shy of 1000 for his career with just under 12 games to play.

(in the regular season)

I doubt he has enough starts in the regular season to get there (and would be impressive even if he got 12 starts, of course), but if they make a deep run...
