Going to the game tomorrow from the Quad Cities. About a 3 hour drive normally. How much will Bears traffic change that, how much earlier should I leave?

just leave now why not

i second this

Going with someone who works 3rd shift tonight or else I would.

ok i'll actually try to be helpful

if the trip normally takes you 3 hours, i'd leave at least 5 hours before. worst case, you get there a bit early and hit the bars before the game.

i wish we had those clips in HD. pretty sure that game was broadcast in HD...FOX did it back then.

i remember because i had an HDTV but it didn't have an HD tuner...so i bought one just for the playoffs and returned it afterwards.

In honor of #34 singing tonight and #34 pitching tomorrow...

Every once and a while I watch the HRs from Woody and Alou in that game. Even though I know how it ends, both still give me chills.

This might be the happiest I've ever been as a Cubs fan

I dunno, game 5 and its afterglow was like a dream.

was an amazing night. i drove down with my dad and we went to the game with my cousin from atlanta. cub fan presence was a very cool thing to be part of.

Yeah, what's happening right now is [expletive] fantastic, but for anyone who can remember game 5 of the 2003 NLDS, or hell, after game 4 of the NLCS of 2004, this doesn't even compare. Everything was going right; the team was stacked and seemed set to win then AND going into the future. I remember just being so ridiculously happy about those playoff wins; never felt like anything like it over any other sports win.

I was at Wrigley for the clinch in 2008 and that was just an incredible feeling. They were on such a damn roll.

yeah. i mentioned it before, but if/when the magic number gets down to one going into a home game this week, i'm gonna try to snag tickets on stubhub. only game i have left of my tickets for myself is saturday's.

also i was in wrigleyville for that one, but not at the game. i think i watched the final out at trace.
