While Comcast does it on the side, ESPN does it over the actual zone. Does ESPN have a patent on overlaying the K-Zone over the actual zone? Its much better than having it on the side like Comcast.

 

No, the ESPN overlay is an abomination.

 

Why?

 

I have a lovable image of a barefoot, tobacco-stained TT on the porch of a handmade log cabin, waving a shotgun and screaming about "GIT OFFA MAH PROPERTY!" when he hates on the K-Zone.

No, the ESPN overlay is an abomination.

 

Why?

 

Because it makes it impossible to actually track the ball to the glove. The Comcast graphic on the side is perfect because it gives you the instantaneous feedback while not actually interfering with the experience of watching live action.
