Seriously, how do you not play Castro over La Stella with the run he's on? Stuff your splits in a sack, jerks.

Castro has already sat once during the "run" he is on, which has lasted 3 games. The opposing pitcher's splits are notable and worth making this switch. I like it.

Over the last 23 games:

The dude has been sitting with regularity throughout that time. Over his last 23 games played, 9 of them have been of the one PA variety and he has sat the bench entirely for two of the past 7 games. Castro sitting against a pitcher who has been significantly better against RHP is fine.

Given that he's Lester and that they'll do anything possible to continue his postseason success there's probably a less than zero chance that Ross isn't catching him.

please tell me that, if we make a playoff run, david ross will not still need to be jon lester's personal catcher even against tough RHP.

I do see the defensive advantage it provides, especially with Lester's unique baserunner needs.

La Stella starting is fine, although hitting him 5th is a touch odd. I guess the plan is for Bryant to be inserted the first AB after Martinez leaves the game? Not very fair to La Stella to only get to play 3 innings.

3 plate appearances is more than fair.

Not very fair to us for LaStella to play any innings.

I'll be mad when La Stella gets pulled after going 3-3 with 2 dongs.

To be fair, it's the same guy who also hit a home run yesterday.

He had an elbow injury so his probably his going to be throwing.
