The Cubs have 4 games left against the Cardinals, and with the current rotation Lester or Arrieta will pitch 3 of them.

Just curious....how are you factoring the double hitter? Mainly for selfish reasons....I've got tickets for next Friday and wasn't sure who to expect.

I LOVE THIS

Actually I take it back, I'm not sure how they'll handle the last 2 games of the Cardinals series with the double header being after the day off in the series prior.

However, I can more comfortably say that Lester or Arrieta should pitch 4 of the remaining 7 Pirates games.

i'd imagine one rotational guy and one random fill in guy

You never actually lost your Castro-love. It's all good.

All an act! He was trying to impress a bad element that has, fortunately, been banned, been exposed as a Cardinals fan and drank himself to death, respectively.

Is 23 over their high mark of the year or I think they hit it once before this season?

Yes it's their new high mark. They were 22 over on 25 Aug, and they are now 7-6 since then.

The infield defense was pure sexiness tonight. But, we can also turn it into a complete dongfest, if we so please. If Soler is healthy, (assuming we'll play Rizzo, Russell, Bryant, Schwarber, and Fowler every game) we'll have at least three of: Soler, Castro, Baez, Austin Jackson, Montero, or Coghlan on the bench. And we have a bunch of guys that can move all over . And we can bring in defensive replacements if we get a lead. It's very nice.

The Cubs have eliminated the Braves from NL Wild Card contention.

The Cubs are now 99.6% to make the playoffs, with the Nats 0.3% and Giants 0.1% to snag the wild card.

The Cubs are now 10 times more likely to win the division than miss the playoffs.
