CUBS are 16-10 (.615) when their pitcher gets a hit.... 60-47 (.561) when he doesn't

i don't think i've ever seen a player in his entire career lose his bat as many times as i've seen russell do this year

i think i could've said that after like 3 weeks too.

Damn. Wish Ray would stick to losing his command entirely instead of alternating that with pinpoint control.

how can you possibly have double plus hands and lose the bat that often

Yes, technically that is way one could look at it.

Why they would, I have no idea.

It's weird how Russell, Soler, and Schwarber (if you ignore AAA for him) have all seen their K rates spike like 10% in the majors from where it was in the minors, while Bryant's has stayed mostly the same. Is that just random, or is there an explanation there?

There is no bigger jump from any level than from AAA to the Majors in terms of pitcher 'stuff' so I don't find it that surprising

I mean Bryant is just a superhero i guess

maybe it's got something to do with the fact that bryant has an amazing eye and strikes out mostly by swinging and missing at strikes.

what exactly i don't know. just a guess.
