I really wanted to go into this series and crush them, and earn some respect. I just want to salvage one game at this point. Let's do that, please.

Cardinals will coast to best record in baseball and then fall fat on their faces in the NLDS

Because if there's one thing the Cardinals do, it's completely gag in the playoffs.

Please score some runs. On paper, there's no way this offense is supposed to be average to below average.

On paper an offense that strikes out a ton and is made up of a lot of young players and has a terrible, terrible bench is the kind that's going to have stretches of not getting a whole lot done offensively.

Yeah when you make it to the playoffs every year, [expletive] is going to happen.

This guy is totally not a cardinal troll.

THE CARDINALS NEVER CHOKE IN THE PLAYOFFS.

Here's a couple times they have choked in the playoffs.

YEAH, BUT EXCEPT THOSE TIMES THEY'RE AWESOME.

Yeah, probably not.

It's obvious they are. Look at our hitting with RISP lately. Nothing lasts forever, but they're young dude. Of course they're questioning themselves right now. What's so crazy about that statement? It's not even a negative thing to say. It's just how any rational person would probably feel right now. Strop even intimated as much the other day.

I like that Kruk's advice to avoid K's is to decide to not K.

They've run extremely hot and cold with RISP all season; why now are they going to be rattled because of a couple of games where they can't push more guys across? It's not like they stopped actually hitting or getting on base. It's just something they've unfortunately gone through several times so far this season. It's a lineup designed knowing that even most of the best hitters were going to be aggressive, and at times that's going to bite you in the ass. Couple that with guys they were counting on like Castro and Soler not being what was hoped for or being injured and a bench that basically has zero power and this is what happens at times throughout the season.

Power of positive thinking I suppose.

I was thinking Captain Obvious sighting...

Maddon's been really frustrating with the #4 spot all year. He kept Castro there for way too long, and now I have no idea why he won't put Coghlan there instead of Montero.
