Ok and if they lose 5 games straight their odds go to crap. I'm looking at the actual team and what I/we know on how they look, how they have and will perform and how we've been educated by people who are much smarter than us.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals are beating up on a team they should beat.

They just lost 2 of 4 to this Twins team. The Twins might actually be good.

I said the offense is young and streaky. It will be good and it will be bad. That's pretty simple. I predicted at the beginning of the year that the Cubs would be a 81-85 win team.. I still believe that - but they could also surprise us and could do what last year's Royals did in the regular season.

The pro of having a young team down the stretch is that they are exactly that: young and can hold up in the dog days a bit better.

The con is lack of experience as well as being over-anxious.

This is where we have a weapon named Joe Maddon who is level-headed and will have an opportunity to really show his skill.

Based on your shoulds the Cubs apparently should win about 110 games this every year.

Well, it's baseball. We swept the Mets and lost 4 out of 6 to the Brewers.

And the Twins have had a ton of RISP luck, as I recall.

rizzo has gotten teams doing different shifts based on his 2 strike approach now?

how long has this been going on?

is it not just out of concern that he might bunt?

(i don't have the sound on and am in the kitchen, could be way off)

i was thinking maybe they noticed different tendencies with his drastically different two strike approach but that might make more sense

He's exhausted; he's gotta take a nap after he's done sleeping.

Ahh I knew when I joined this forum I'd be dealing with 90% Cubs homers and 10% people who actually understand baseball. Why can't people step back and lose bias when it comes to talking baseball. I LOVE seeing the Cubs win as much as anyone but I'm REALISTIC.

David the robot is like the only person here who has said this team is likely to end more than a few games above .500 when all is said and done and half of that was due to him eating a bad RAM chip. Relax.

you are either a troll or are not paying attention to anything people are saying

i countered you with statistics from two different sources which i'm pretty sure weren't calculated or manipulated by a cubs fan, but you, a cubs fan, think something very different. where do you think the bias lies?

that doesn't mean i want to trade him for less than he is worth (which is a lot)

He's averaging less than 1 fWAR per season for the last 2.5 seasons. I'm not sure he *is* worth that much anymore.

you might be right, and that's very sad, but if you are, then it isn't worth trading him for what he's worth, either.

Look, you're drunk on oil or human blood or something tonight, so just calm down. It's weird when you're like this.
