Said it may be a ligament issue, lets hope its not serious... dont like the idea of playing with 6/2/15 (vs. marlins) lineup for 30-60 days

Have they said when it happened? Any chance he's been trying to play through it and that it explains a lot of his disappointing dong output?

I think it was on the radio pregame last night, they said he hurt it stepping on first base during one of his at bats on Monday.

So he stepped on first in more than one at bat in the game? That's a plus.

Soler to DL.

Baxter recalled.

How dont they have to wait 15 days to recall a guy after sending them down?

Injury replacement.

Soler has a left ankle sprain.

Damn. I was optimistic because Pat said yesterday that he might be available as a PH.

[expletive] it, call up Schwarber too. Put him in LF and Bryant in RF.

Here's to hoping the Sun-Times is very wrong.

A sprained ankle shouldn't take that long.

Well they put him on the 15 day so maybe he comes back quicker than that. He was walking around on it without much of a noticeable limp. I had hoped for a better prognosis.

15day Dl doesn't tell you much at this point. They will rarely, if ever, immediately put a guy on the 60 day. They can always transfer him later. Plus 6 weeks = 42 days = no reason for anything but the 15 day DL.

6 weeks for a sprain? That seems... long.

Let's just make sure it's actually a sprain and he didn't fracture something this time.

6 weeks sounds reasonable for a high ankle sprain. That said, everyone else besides the Sun-Times is saying 3 weeks.
