Um, AZPhil just reported that Dylan Cease threw a 99 mph fastball in extended spring training today. Of course, he's just coming back so he was really wild. He walked 3 and struck out one, but still. 99? Nice. Hopefully his control will return in due time. They say that's the last thing to come back after TJS.

Eh. Probably a little too soon for that. He hasn't been that good for that long. Less than a season's worth of starts above A ball, and about a handful of good ones. Best case (for him), I would think would be a couple Sept starts if the Cubs are out of the playoff hunt.
