Admittedly, it's just when I'm checking the speed as opposed to looking things up. From what I've seen he's peaking at 93-94 instead of 97-98

There were a few 96 but he was mainly sitting at 94, just going by the Cubs broadcast speed

The ranting that would have ensued had Rondon given up a gapper to Parra...I would have participated in it.

Offense double digit K's every game, plus bullpen sucks. The need for consistent dongs is palpable.

Right, Rondon at 94-95 with the fastball is the norm. He hits 97-98 at times, but it's not worrisome that he's not living there. http://www.fangraphs.com/pitchfxo.aspx?playerid=2391&position=P&pitch=FA

fastballs that inning: 95, 96, 94, 96, 96, 94, 96, 96, 95, 94, 94, 94, 94, 95, 95, 95, 96, 96, 96, 96, 93. average: 95.05mph. season average: 95.6mph.

sliders: 85, 85, 84, 83, 83, 83, 83, 85, 84, 86. average: 84.1. season average: 85.0

down 0.55mph on the fastball and 0.9mph on the slider. velocity wasn't much of a problem. he was struggling with his release point.

Has he hit 98 regularly? Not recalling that.

He's averaging 95.8 on the year and regularly peaks at 98.

I seem to have missed a whole bunch of 96's while watching live. Just coincidence that I looked when he threw the 93's and 94's, I guess. Or I was only looking at the speed when he didn't look comfortable.

This is the least happy I've been after a win in a long time. I'm still just nervous and anxious and argghhhh. Our [expletive] bullpen man. It needs fixed like, yesterday.
