He's had success so far. It's not about not having confidence, it's about realizing you throw 88 and can't throw it down the heart of the plate. Marte just randomly decided to take pitches unlike he has all season.

that's scouting reports and good strategy. some combination of the org/maddon/hendricks and i only list hendricks because they talk about how much video he watches and how much he gameplans, but there is nothing wrong with how they attacked him there.
