Yeah that's a real weird play to get hung up on. That was a shallow single, even if the throw went to 3rd Castro would still likely be dead at 2B.

I don't think he really got hung up on it, though. He mentioned it and left it alone.

 

there's like zero chance castro gets to 2nd on that play without a throwing error, in which case pulling up 8 feet from 1st wouldn't have hurt anything
