Has Clausen officially been announced as the starter this week?

No. Trestman claimed he will evaluate and name the starter later this week.

He'll start Cutler probably just hoping he will get hurt and or the Bears win the game and slip 5 spots in the draft.

Robbie Gould was just on The Score. Basically said that the locker room is a mess...said it was never like this under Lovie...this isn't the Bears way...he thinks that Jay should still be out there...doesn't know what message is being sent...

Really laid this all on Trestman without directly saying so.

Wow, he must either know that Trestman isn't coming back or he isn't

Edit: Here's an article with his quotes:

Yeah, he didn't hold back.

Problem with a non-conventional hire. Trestman was basically a nobody to everyone in that lockerroom. The vets on defense weren't going to respect him to a certain extent either way, because they were Lovie's boys through and through and their leader (Urlacher) was jettisoned by this regime. The vets on offense were only going to buy in as long as things were going well.

The Bears need to either go young and completely rebuild or bring in a coach that has some sort of track record in the NFL. A very successful coordinator or a former HC getting another shot.

I think I'm leaning with Sulley here, and rooting for Clements.

I think the NFL track record is required, but it doesn't have to be as a head coach. A current coordinator should suffice. Trestman hadn't coached in the NFL since 2004, which was before most current Bears began to play in the NFL.

being an injured kicker with a recent contract extension provides a certain level of comfort

Yea no kidding. Robbie can basically say whatever he wants. Even if he gets cut he'll probably have half a dozen suitors.
