Well the Lions win officially eliminated the Bears from the playoffs so what else is there to do but root for a good draft pick and maybe with a disaster pus last 3 weeks the removal of Trestman.

I think we'd have to pass the Giants and Panthers for that. Next weeks Bears Saints game will have a lot to say about draft positioning. The Saints looked so bad today I'm concerned the Bears might win.

If nothing else a last place finish gets us two easier opponents next year and since we have a tough division lineup that is s good thing. Plus draft picks. I was thinking we'd get 11 but 9 or 10 is looking more likely. 7 will still be tough and require some assistance.

Redskins vs Giants and Tampa vs Carolina. Anything can happen in an offseason, but that could be significant.

Tackle depth is good for us. WR depth is also interesting as its deep with big guys. That's Emery's prototypical WR even though most fans want a speed slot guy.

 

Shaping up to make sense for a Defense, OL, Defense draft. Though Emery might surprise us. Most expected S last year and it lined up for us to do that...

 

Doesn't look like a Jay replacement exists. 2016 may be the year for that.

I was going to point out that Brees isn't the same on the road in the cold as at home, but he has actually played better statistically on the road this season, and the long range forecast has Chicago at a high of 50 and low of 32 on Monday.

As bad as the Saints looked, this is a perfect get well scenario for them. The Bears will allow free releases all day to Graham, Stills and Co. Ingram has looked good this season as well, so there's room to run on the Bears.
