Week 5: Bears (2-2) @ Panthers (2-2) Noon Fox/780

Cam Newton isn't as crappy a thrower as Kaepernick or Geno Smith. If the Bears sit in a zone all day, he'll pick them apart just like Rodgers did. Hell, just like Manuel did (and nobody talks about) in the opener.

The offense should probably try to put together 2 good halves too.

Cam isn't anywhere near Rodgers' level. I had to look up what he's doing this year. It was kind of surprising to see some of his #'s: pretty good completion percentage. 9 completed throws over 20 yards. Only 3 TD passes though, probably relying on the running game alot down by the goal line.

Still though, I'll have to see him beat us like a rag doll like Rodgers did before I believe it. HUGE knock on wood.

I wasn't saying he's as good as Rodgers. I was saying that most NFL QBs will pick apart a basic ass zone. Hence, the following sentence about Manuel, who completed 73% of his passes against a Bears D that got very little pass rush and sat in zone coverage all day.

If you want to call out Tucker I've saved a spot for you.

I'm gonna try to be shocked every week by a Bears win because whenever I start to feel good about this team I get let down.

31-24 Panthers. Newton does his best Superman impression.

I don't know much about ELO but it appearantly thinks the Bears have the worst chance of making the playoffs of any NFC North team: http://53eig.ht/1yyaNFi

Makes sense. Good division, with no teams under .500 and the Bears lost a home game in the division. That can swing things in a big way.

very big considering they had the best odds last week (although the Bears, Packers and Lions were all pretty close)

um... huh?

Hahahaha what in the hell. I know this is obvious but I want to lay it all out

-Marshall said this on a weekly tv show which he is paid to...speak to members of the media

-He also signed with ESPN 1000 to alternate weekly with Jay Cutler on his weekly radio show

-Finally let's not forget the 45 minute press conference/rant he went out of his way to hold

Brandon Marshall....who you crappin?

People someone call this in or email it.

My guess is that he's talking about specifically talking to the media immediately postgame, but even that isn't true...he did a joint postgame with Jay that got a lot of coverage, because he kissed Jay's head, and Jay was texting while Marshall was talking.

Yep, I agree with that.

Also I can't remember who but someone had predicted this before the season started and we all (myself included) thought he was crazy.

Guess not.

Speaking of corners, hopefully McMannis can go because I don't want to see Frey in the nickel.
