Already a better team by removing Spurlock from the roster.

Bring Chris Williams back or elevate Rashad Ross. Senorise Perry as a KR is pretty unacceptable.

Eh. He had 1 return and like 4 touchbacks. It's not really a big deal.

Probably not, it just sucks going from a guy who could break one every return to what we have now.

To be fair, Perry is a bit faster than I thought he was (4.38 on his pro day).

That transition happened a while a ago.

I'm a glutton for punishment so I went into a 49ers forum to see what they were saying about this game.

Chicago is essentially a lesser version of Dallas.

how fortunate that we get to play tony romo in week 1 and tony romo jr. in week 2

The Cubs. Our 6th preseason game. The NFL was kind to us this year

It's the opener... there's a better chance of the world standing still that day than the Cubs having a chance of winning.

Oh and this gif was posted of Briggs...and that was 2 years ago....ugh

Wow:

@BearReport: #Bears have the oldest roster in NFL (27.08 avg age) and the fifth-lightest roster (244.09 avg weight).

I've come to realize that UM really loves two things.

Last ten games splits and other teams homer fans message boards (fully cop to being guilty of this at times)

Add on tweet:

@BearReport: #Bears have 16 players 30 or older, most in the league, yet 12 rookie or first-year players, third most in NFL and most in NFC.

Those last few Angelo drafts were brutal.

I'm only interested in other teams message boards after wins though, so I can go back and see the misery porn. Just like I don't listen to sports talk radio in the weeks after losses, because UGH.

@AdamHoge: #Bears limited in practice: Josh Morgan (groin) and Charles Tillman (coaches’ decision). Tillman was present at practice.

Usually this.

I also like to look beforehand when my team is really good.

They were the 3rd oldest according to the report that came out before Week 1. Average weight is intersting. But the Bears do have a lot of players at the lighter weight positions. 3 QBs, 4 RBs, DBs. Even on the D-Line they have 6 DEs, 5 of which are sub 270lbs which is small for that position.

Paea and Conte are the only ones left from the 2009-2011 drafts. Them 2, Wright, Wootton, Webb, and Melton are the only ones that gave the Bears more than 2 years of "production". Hester, Forte, and Earl Bennett are the only players since the 2005 draft to earn more than a rookie contract from the Bears.

@AdamHoge: Trestman on Marshall & Jeffery: "Right now they are day-to-day. We’ll be optimistic until we hear otherwise."

FWIW, Marshall said on his Inside the NFL show yesterday that he will be playing.
