So this Sanabia dude had the unlucky experience of facing the reincarnation of Murderer's Row. Hopefully it will turn out to be something he can tell his grandchildren about one day.

Sanabia came into this game with like a 4.60 ERA. No shock he looked like AAA Jaxon.

Law has Bryant as the #1 overall prospect on his list, whatever that means.

At least Soler's K and Javy's second K were looking. I'd guess the FO has a pulse on how they're getting their Ks. Soler's was an 8 pitch AB in which he never swung and missed. Javy's second was a fastball that looked a little off the plate outside. His first one though, was swinging out in front of a breaking ball away.

Yes sir, it sure is going to be nice to have this MiLB TV subscription I bought earlier today...

I'm pretty sure they have even more sophisticated info than that.

Has there been any player anyone can think of that had good pedigree, put up minor league and major league struggling stats like Vitters and the light just clicked turning him into a starter or even good player? I know he is what he probably is and hes not necessarily young but he's also not necessarily for sure too old to improve.

Is there anybody we can compare Vitters too that can give us any sort of hope.

I know if possible its a 1 in 1000 chance of probably happening but still.

I dont know why I even care but I guess I used to like Vitters a lot as a prospect around 08 or 09 ?

Sure, they're doing stuff with the big computer, but I meant they're probably watching these Iowa ABs as intently as we are. A 2 strikeout night with one looking will be bad for his K rate, roughly neutral for his whiff rate, but I'm sure the front office is watching these at bats with bated breath to see what kind of progress Javy is making. Although if they were doing that, they've got to be asking themselves how Tennessee has a center field camera and Iowa doesn't.

Hope for what? We have like 20 guys ahead of him anyway.

If his K rate hadn't just fallen apart this year I'm sure you could find reason for some hope, but it did so, nah. He didn't really improve any other peripherals either, all are about the same or worse, but Ks were the biggest change (in addition to his position change which really necessitated improvement offensively).

I was asking whether there was any hope in him the individual turning it around. Obviously the system has progressed to the point that he is an after thought and not going to make or break the franchises fortunes going forward.

I always like Vitters and it pretty much seems he is probably done when it comes to his chances of being a successful Cub but I was curious if anybody could pull out an example of someone with a similar story maybe turning it around this late in their career.

What good would one story do for you? Out of 10000000 ballplayers that just means if you confirmed one story Vitters would have a %0.00001 chance of turning it around.
