I have a company of 1. I'm on the road or working in people's houses 5-6 days/week. I teach online for two universities so I work from home as well. In my practice I always wear a collard shirt. In the summer I wear shorts, or if I ride the motorcycle and in the winter it's casual pants. At home unless I'm video conferencing it's t-shirts.

I've never been happier working for myself with clients as my only boss. I hate dealing with insurance companies though.

Is this a new, green material they're working with these days?

Sometimes I change it up and wear a spinach shirt.

Man, I'm jealous I miss owning my own business and since I went back into the management world it's suits, even on Friday. Once in awhile they'll let us wear Bears/Packers on Friday or polo/Hawaiian shirt day with blue jeans.

I work in a cultish environment.

It's sort of inevitable for me at some point I think, but I will probably fall into this as well. Maybe not a full suit though, more business casual I'd guess.

I work from home a lot now and go business casual when at a clients (2 times a week or so).

When I started at this job, it was business casual....khaki's and polo's. About 5 years-ish ago, they went full casual...shorts, t-shirts, whatevs...as long as you dressed appropriately for meetings with outside clients, etc. 2 years after that, they said "no shorts". But it's still casual otherwise. I wear jeans and polo's most days.
