Philly trading for Saric, so they basically drafted two more guys who won't play for them this year. Bold strategy.

Saric didn't look like a guy who won't be coming over this year.

He'll contribute, which is good obviously. I didn't expect us to take 2 guys to play this year anyway, so I'm fine with it. Especially with Saric going off the board next.

16 and 19 for him, as Simmons just said helps them save some money in a Melo acquisition

I think it might actually be slightly more but not a significant movement either way.

@markdeeksnba #11 cap hold ($1,898,300) plus one roster charge ($507,336) versus #16 cap hold ($1,468,900) and #19 ($1,266,000). Mere $329,365 difference.

He signed a deal with a Euro team that essentially guarantees he's gone until at least 2016

Crap, I forgot about that. Stand corrected.

Well, it looks like they're going for another top pick next year... But the top prospects (towns, okafor, Alexander) seem to trend toward big guys... Which they now have Saric, embiid, and Noel in the front court... Even if Saric won't be here for a couple years

Would've rather traded up for Harris.

Shoot, I didn't even realize he was still out there... He would be so much better to have in my opinion... I think he can come in immediately and defend and hit threes as well as be good in transition and a decent secondary ball handler

If Harris is available at 16 then I'm pissed. Coulda saved the 19 for a stash or trade and gotten harris who I like as much as Doug.

Wow - Magic get Payton. They are adding a ton of talent.

Yeah good pick up for them, can slide Oladipo to SG now and put Payton at PG.

That would give them a really long and solid defensive backcourt, but Payton pretty much can't shoot right now and oladipo may have improved but he's not exactly a lights out shooter either

I've been sitting here trying to figure out why the Sixers made that trade and I can't. I get that they drafted Payton to trade him (they have MCW), but why Saric? They desperately need a wing.

EDIT: Looks like they get their pick back in 15' from Magic. Should be a lottery pick. That makes more sense.

What is philly doing? Collecting injured bigs and thabo sepholoshas.

Bill Simmons needs to be removed from the air he sucks so bad. He's a petulant Child. I don't understand how he's on air. Everything he says is irratating.

The Bulls also send a future second-round pick to Denver in the McDermott trade, source says.

Not that a 2nd round pick really matters, but that is quite a lot for McDermott. If anything, I would have thought the 2nd rounder would be coming back the other way.
