@aaronfitt: Here in Charlottesville, Stinnett has settled in a bit—breaking ball is sharper in middle innings. #Terps lead 5-2 after 5.

Isiah Gilliam, a HS OF/1B, in the 23rd. He'd require a big over slot. Ranked inside the top 150 by BA, MLB, and Kiley too, I think.

By the way, Martarano was a HS Senior last year and turned down an offer from the Phils. Big, big power but is playing football at Boise. Redshirted, was defensive freshman of the year on their freshman squad as a LB. Boise doesn't have a baseball program. My guess is he's a near impossible sign.

Yep. Didn't expect him to be draft eligible.

Any truth to the rumor Schwarber signed?

Marlin said it, my guess is its true. Wish we had the monetary number. They won't announce any of this stuff officially until they pass their physicals.

I'm pretty sure they had a deal in place going into the draft. Or at least the framework completed.

Apparently, 23rd rounder Isiah Gilliam must be a ranked prospect. He has a writeup and scouting video at mlb.com

Just a few months ago, Gilliam was classified as a junior and a member of the 2015 Draft class. But because he began high school in 2010 and his eligibility is set to expire, he was able to move up his graduation to 2014 and become eligible for this year's Draft. The change left scouts scrambling to see him late this spring. Gilliam is a switch-hitter and uses his quick, compact swing to generate good bat speed. He produces solid power and drives balls well from both sides of the plate. Gilliam plays mostly first base now, but he is athletic enough to play in an outfield corner, despite his below-average speed.

Let's hope he signs and doesn't Dopirak.

Let's hope he does Dopirak in A ball, but then keeps going afterwards.
