Cool article that sheds some insight into how the Hawks use analytics to evaluate everything. Sounds like a lot of it is just more advanced versions of Corsi and Fenwick but it's good to see how the Hawks were amongst the first to introduce these metrics into their decision making, and Q in particular.

stupid non-playoff related Hawks question. Did the Hawks use both of their compliance buy outs last off season? I remember Montador, but a friend said they bought out someone else also and I cannot think of who it would have been

Q says Shaw is questionable for Game 2 but his injury isn't expected to be long term. Also said that Versteeg was supposed to play yesterday but was sick. Was not a performance related scratch.

Interesting. Is the vibe that Kris pulled-back in the face of how nasty / physical the Stl series was, but now he's being given another chance against a less brutal team?

If you pressure us at the point, we fall apart on the PP. Detroit did it to us last year and it almost cost us the cup. Im surprised St Louis didn't do it and it took Minnesota a game to figure out.

That's one of those things that looks so easy when it works, but leaves you open to terrible mistakes with a forward loose in a great spot.

Toews with the follow!

I nearly died when Hossa missed that.

That's true, Seabrook had a pretty decent chance even though it was just the one.

It was a great save. But when you have several superstars, there's a follow a lot of the time.

In the last six seasons, the Blackhawks are 13-3 in playoff series.

Yeah it seems that the UC teams like to have dynasties.
